About
Jumpermind is an independent game developer based in Barcelona, Spain. The project was started in 2018 by game designer Marco Nicolau and has since served as a personal space for creating artistic and experimental game experiences inspired by introspective thoughts.
Feel free to email me if you'd like to chat or collaborate. If you like my work, I’d really appreciate your support on X, Reddit, and YouTube.
Concept
Each project is standalone, short, and ambiguous, resembling unique pieces of conceptual art that encourage players to find their own meaning in the experience. Rather than fitting into narrow genres, they explore universal feelings and concepts such as loneliness, anxiety, fears, daydreams, exploration, and the passage of time, creating a personal and reflective space for the player.

Inspiration
I believe we are deeply enriched by great stories, whether they come from books, films, or games. Great films stay with us because they capture the weight of human emotion, and games with great stories draw us in to feel them ourselves.
- Books: 1984 (George Orwell), Fahrenheit 451 (Ray Bradbury), The Alchemist (Paulo Coelho), The Handmaid’s Tale (Margaret Atwood), Atomic Habits (James Clear), Lazos Surrealistas (Enno)...
- Films: The Shawshank Redemption (Frank Darabont), Good Will Hunting (Gus Van Sant), Her (Spike Jonze), Blade Runner (Ridley Scott), Love Death + Robots (Tim Miller), Black Mirror (Charlie Brooker)...
- Games: Limbo and Inside (Playdead), Journey and Flower (Thatgamecompany), Abzû (Giant Squid), The Last of Us (Naughty Dog), Red Dead Series (Rockstar Games), The Sims (Maxis)...
